What is a cohort?
A cohort is a set of people grouped together for a common purpose. This is not a class where individuals come to receive data. This is a cohort where a group of people gather to read, process, discuss, and engage in ministry together.
Who is this for?
Anyone, really. But more specifically:
- People who want to be more intentionally involved in leadership at Redeemer (this cohort is a prerequisite for any future leaders at Redeemer: community group leaders, ministry team leaders, elders, women shepherds, etc.)
- People interested in developing their philosophy and practice of ministry as it relates to Redeemer's mission to Midtown.
What is the format of the meetings?
- Sharing (30-40 min). We will share what God is doing in our lives, what we have gathered from our personal devotions/homework, and updates on our ministry exercises.
- Discussion (40-50 min). We will learn about and discuss various aspects of ministry and mission.
What is required?
- Commit to doing a personal devotional 4x a week
- Commit to reading the book The Art of Neighboring (we will provide you a copy for $5)
- Commit to preparing for our meetings by doing the selected homework
When will we meet?
Every other Wednesday afternoon from 11:30am-1:00 pm. 8 sessions. You are allowed to miss 2.
